Youth Protection Policy
At the heart of Scripture is concern for "the least of these" (Matt. 25:40). An important way we express our love for our congregation, guests, and visitors is by providing a safe sanctuary for everyone, especially the most vulnerable--children.
Youth Protection Policy
All members are expected to be familiar with the youth protection policy and immediately report concerns to staff, pastor or synod. Victims of abuse often don't have the power to speak up for themselves. Staff will follow protocol that includes confidentiality for all parties while cooperating with law enforcement investigation.
Safe Gatherings--Training and Background
All volunteers and staff that work with children and youth must complete youth protection training and clear background check every three years. We use Safe Gatherings for online training and background checks. Scholarships for the fees are available--contact office@oslwyo.org.
