Sunday School for ALL, Confirmation and Bible Study

Sunday school for all ages is offered throughout the school year. Confirmation, preparation for baptism, new members, communion classes are offered periodically. All volunteers and staff working with you must be up-to-date on training and background check. Children and youth protection policy information is located HERE.
  • PreK-5th grade Sunday school focuses on Old and New Testament scripture, emphasizing God's grace. Hands on activities, discussion and interactive stories help form the basic understanding of our Christian faith.
  • Middle-high school youth engage in guided discussion about scripture and our Lutheran heritage. Emphasis on "engaging a Christian lens" leads youth to consider the impact of their faith in the real world.
  • Confirmation using a two year program (meeting twice a month) will begin fall of 2026. Communion and baptism classes will be offered as needed.
  • Adult Sunday school is led by Pastor Mike. In-depth discussion of scripture, Church doctrine, and countless rabbit trails for an informative, transformative and fun opportunity for adults to grow in faith.
  • Preschool and nursery are available by request. Please speak to Krista Sickert-Bush, our CYF volunteer, for more information.
  • Mid-week study is offered periodically throughout the year. January-February we will have a Zoom based bible study on the book of Acts, looking at Christian models for productive conflict--world, interpersonal and internal.

Parade Day

Casper celebrates the opening of the Central Wyoming Fair with Parade Day. It's the biggest mobile squirt gun fight disguised as a hometown parade in the West!! This year we were joined by Grace Lutheran, OSL Preschool, and lots of OSL volunteers. We held our own--until the firetrucks joined the joyous chaos :)

WY Conference Youth

Kids from Cheyenne, Casper, Gillette and Laramie kicked off the inaugural Wyoming Youth Conference in June. Highlights included mission work at Iris Clubhouse and Kind Grounds. Discussion with clients of Kind Grounds opened up further campfire discussion about the Church's relationship with those struggling with homelessness, mental health, and food insecurity. Rafting on the North Platte and 'chill time' helped develop bonds of fellowship across the state. See you all again next year!!
